A quick painting. Did the lineart with india ink and quills and I must say that quills are a lot of fun...although it takes some time to get used to them. I'm not too happy with how the boy turned out though, it seems the proportions are a bit off.

I really like the lineart on the bird and I can see what you mean about the boy...
There's something about his arm that irks me visually...but love the expression ^^
LOVE the bird!!!
Maybe what is strange about the boy is his position, I mean, the bird have perspective but at the same time the boy don't have...also I loved the colors!! :D
